Community Involvement

DCT proudly supports the Sturge-Weber Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with Sturge-Weber Syndrome. Sturge-Weber Syndrome (encephelotrigeminal angiomatosis) is a congenital, non-familial disorder of unknown incidence and cause. It is characterized by a congenital facial birthmark and neurological abnormalities. Other symptoms associated with Sturge-Weber can include eye and internal organ irregularities. Each case of Sturge-Weber Syndrome is unique and exhibits the characterizing findings to varying degrees. Please go to their website  www.sturge-weber.org

DCT also supports and sits on the committee of the Restart Program, part of the Bobby Jo Lewis Foundation. Leading to careers in property management, this program provides education, job training, mentoring, and job placement assistance for each class student. Majority of class participants have been caught in a cycle of poverty, substance abuse, or domestic violence, and are looking for a way to improve their life and provide for their children.

DCT is an official Friend of IREM, the Institute of Real Estate Management. As a Friend, DCT provides our support, sponsorship, and services to the San Diego Chapter. IREM has been the source for education, membership, resources, and Information for Real Estate Professionals since 1933.

As a member and supporter of CREW, Commercial Real Estate Women, DCT proudly promotes this organization that provides a comprehensive network of influential Real Estate professionals creating opportunities in a dynamic industry.

Through Project Mercy, DCT has had the privilege to assist this profit agency based in San Diego, CA. The goal of Project Mercy is the improvement of basic living standards and the quality of life for impoverished families who live in the shantytowns of the colonias, east of Tijuana, Mexico.

NAIOP San Diego is dedicated to commercial/industrial/mixed use real estate and continues to represent the real estate industry with strong legislative representation and great networking opportunities, educational programs, and mixers which brings the industry together for exclusive networking and experience exchange with their peers. NAIOP-San Diego literally represents a “who’s who” in commercial/industrial real estate.
